Pre-LASIK Examination
The pre-LASIK check-up includes a comprehensive refractive surgery examination and ocular health check-up. The examination is very thorough and complete as it offers a detailed review of the surgical procedure. During the examination, topography measurements are taken that provide a complete mapping of the surface of the patient's cornea. Pachymetry (corneal thickness) as well as refraction are also included in the examination. These measurements are used to determine if the patient is truly a candidate for LASIK.
