Conjunctivitis
- Acute conjunctivitis is an acute infection of the outer layer of eyeball, due to bacteria or virus.
- Symptoms (redness, discharge and foreign body sensation) of acute viral conjunctivitis become worst on the third or fourth day, it usually resolves within 2 weeks.
Corneal Ulcer
- Corneal ulcer can be caused by bacterial or fungal infection.
- It is usually associated with injury or contaminated contact lens.
- Rarely, vitamin A deficiency may lead to corneal ulcer.
- Symptoms are pain, sensitive to light, increased tear production.
