Female Care Screening (Mammography/Breast Ultrasound)
Mammography is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system to examine breasts. A mammography exam, called a mammogram, is used to aid in the early detection and diagnosis in women. Early detection of breast cancer is crucial as it reduces the chance of malignacy invading nearby lymph nodes and hence reduces the mortality rate.
Procedure and Precautions:
- The procedure normally takes 20 to 30 minutes and performed by female radiographers.
- On the day of examination, please avoid wearing perfume, deodorant, bath powder etc because small particles from these products may affect the accuracy of examinations.
- If there is a chance you could be pregnant, please inform our staff.
