Computed Tomography (CT)
Computed Tomography provides detailed information from cross-sectional to three-dimensional images. The clinical indications of CT include trauma, fracture vascular diseases, stroke, cancer, infection, inflammation and calculus etc.
Procedures and Precautions
- Procedure time varies from 10 – 30 minutes, depending on the body region to be scanned.
- You will usually be required to fast for 3 hours prior to the examination.
- If you are on Metformin (Type II diabetes medication). You may be required to stop 1 day prior to the examination.
- If you have any history of asthma, food allergy, drug allergy or previous contrast medium allergy, please inform our staff.
- If there is a chance you could be pregnant, please inform our staff.
